Complete Landscape Resources is seeking immediate hire of an experienced Irrigation Technician. We’re looking for a reliable team player who has knowledge of multiple types of commercial irrigation systems. We have unlimited growth potential for the right candidate. Specific roles and responsibilities include: • Experience installing backflows to existing irrigation systems. • Troubleshoot and Repair irrigation mainlines, valves, sprinkler heads, etc. Including digging, trenching etc. • Install new irrigation systems from start to finish, when needed. • Adjust and program various timers & clocks. • Recognize drainage deficiencies and problematic soils and provide solutions. • Properly mark and rope off any open holes or hazards to protect tenants from getting hurt. • Use required personal protective equipment necessary to perform the job. • Consistently provide excellent workmanship to avoid warranty issues. • Properly clean up all site work and make sure all equipment is removed from the site. • Solid knowledge of trenchers, multi-meters, wire locators, ditchers and pipe sizing are also essential. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus. Familiar with software to read and create site maps, colored charts/legends is a plus. REQUIREMENTS • A valid Driver’s License - you must drive company vehicles in a safe manner at all times and make sure that all equipment is stored and secured for transport to avoid damage or theft. QC Tech Civil Construction Field (Hartford)
Helical Drilling, a New England based design build Geotechnical Engineering firm is looking to fill a Quality Control Technician’s role. This role would ensure that the project’s specifications are followed and that Helical Drilling’s work has been installed according to the design. They will work with the Helical Drilling (HDI) field supervisor, HDI office, the general contractor, and the project geotechnical engineer. The individual is responsible for recording accurate field and production information on a daily basis along with recognizing unknown anomalies that can affect the original design parameters. When changes or anomalies do occur, they also need to collaborate with the above mention entities on solutions and/or repairs. A successful QC Tech will ensure a project has been built correctly. Responsibilities and Duties: • Read, understand, and follow the design submittal and specifications as it relates to construction of the project. • Document and transfer to field layout plans as-builts, test pier locations, offsets, newly discovered utilities, etc. • Read and understand the boring logs. • Inform field supervisor of on-site change of conditions. • Review design submittal to verify information is accurate. • Complete accurate and timely Daily Field Reports (DFRs). • Prepare plans for field production and use. • Document and report all anomalies. • Participate in project kick off and closeout calls. • Communicate with the HDI office, GC, and/or Geotechnical engineers as directed by field supervisor. • Keep track of production and assist in sequencing of installing elements. • Introduce and be engaged with the on-site geotechnical consultants. • Calculate volume of materials needed (concrete, cement, grout, sand mix, infield mix, etc.) • Setup and preform load tests. Understand the required criteria for execution and completion of a successful test. • Record and complete all logs (drilling, driving, sheeting, grouting, test piers, installation, etc.) • Review the Quality Control Summary sheet and As- Built information at the end of a project for accuracy before submitting to the office. • Enter and record accurate information into the logs.
