Ryatt Construction LLC is seeking an experienced and dependable Heavy Equipment Operator to join our front-end excavation and demolition team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a variety of heavy machinery in tight urban environments, focusing on demolition, foundation excavation, and site preparation for new construction. Responsibilities  Safely operate heavy equipment such as excavators and dozers.  Perform in-city demolition and excavation in confined and sensitive environments.  Load trucks safely and efficiently while coordinating with ground crew and truck drivers.  Install and maintain proper shoring and trench protection in compliance with OSHA and city requirements.  Maintain responsibility for TESC (Temporary Erosion and Sediment Control) and site safety compliance.  Fuel, grease, inspect, and clean equipment daily, report machine hours, maintenance needs, and mechanical issues promptly.  Safely work around live utilities and other trades on active city job sites.  Assist with site tasks including laboring and supporting pipelayers when required.  Maintain a clean and organized work area.  Accurately clock in and out of assigned tasks daily. Qualifications  2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in civil construction, with focus on excavation and demolition.  Strong understanding of foundation excavation, demolition sequencing, and shoring systems.  Ability to read and interpret construction plans, elevations, and grades.  Ability to work well with others, demonstrating strong teamwork and communication.  Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.  OSHA certification preferred.
