Description

We are seeking a dependable, organized and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our growing team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that all products are packaged, shipped, received, and tracked accurately, while maintaining the highest standards of organization and cleanliness in our warehouse. Key Responsibilities: Safely and securely package products for both domestic and international shipments to prevent damage in transit. Prepare and coordinate shipments via LTL (less-than-truckload), standard freight, and small-parcel carriers. Request and compare freight quotes to ensure the most cost-effective shipping solutions. Work directly with importers, freight forwarders, and customs agents to coordinate incoming shipments and ensure timely clearance. Receive incoming shipments, unload trucks, and accurately count and verify product against purchase orders. Enter received inventory into company systems and report discrepancies to management. Maintain accurate records of all shipments, deliveries, and inventory transactions. Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely to move, load, and unload goods (certification preferred). Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), email, and inventory management software. Keep the shipping and receiving area clean, organized, and safe at all times. Collaborate with the production and customer service teams to meet delivery schedules and customer requirements. Qualifications & Requirements: Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations strongly preferred. Forklift and pallet jack operation experience (certification a plus). Ability to lift 50+ lbs. regularly and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading shipments. Strong attention to detail with excellent counting and verification skills. Must be clean, organized, and dependable, with a strong work ethic. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) for coordinating with carriers, vendors, and team members. Basic computer proficiency for data entry, shipping label generation, and inventory tracking. Knowledge of freight shipping methods, LTL coordination, and working with importers is a plus.
