Pretech Engineering, Inc. is a well established machine shop working with a variety of steels and metals. The shop uses state of the art CNC lathes and CNC mills for high speed, heavy duty and accurate machining. We are looking for a dependable, hard working employee to join our team. Compensation is starting at $18/ hr + overtime opportunities. Employees must speak English Duties include but are not limited to: -Prepping & loading parts into CNC lathes or Mills. -Regular clean-up to maintain efficient performance & industry safety standards. -Continuous use of inspection tools such as calipers and micrometers. -Continuous standing. All employees must maintain good attendance and be available for overtime when necessary. JOB FUNCTION/PURPOSE • Helps / assists on various machine and areas within the plant • Cross-trains on other machines. • Switches duties with Assistant when necessary. • Reports all equipment deficiencies or malfunctions requiring maintenance or repair to the proper Supervisor. • Adheres to production schedule and communicates any unusual scheduling issues to supervisor. • Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals. • Monitors orders throughout the production run. • Pulls samples as needed. • Follows first article processes as posted near machine. • Prints WIP(Work in Progress) and FG (Finished goods) load tags. • Ensures the compliance of safety guidelines. • Wears the proper safety equipment for the environment including safety glasses and steel toe shoes. • Keeps work areas neat and orderly, maintaining halls and floors free of slip and trip hazards, and removing of waste materials. • Maintains machine on a regular basis, dusting the top of the machine weekly. • Will stack or feed on machines from time to time or as needed • Performs other related duties as needed. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES • High School diploma/GED required • At least 2 years experience with Esko (Packaging and Display Industry experience is ideal). • Ability to understand software maintenance while continuously improving processes. • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively cross-functionally. • Strong organizational & communication skills: Writing, Speaking • Ability to recommend and implement customer solutions to drive top and bottom-line improvement. • Ability to handle multiple projects within a fast pace work environment. • Interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a rapidly changing environment.
