Alliance Legal, LLC is an Immigration Law Practice in Eugene, OR. We currently have an opening for a full-time Legal Assistant. Applicants should be fluent in English and Spanish; both reading and writing and have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or significant experience in the legal field. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Case Management Performing Conflict checks Receiving payments Preparing petitions/applications and any other immigration documents under the supervision of attorney Compiling checklists Following up on case delays with respective agencies Keeping accurate and updated notes in the physical file and soft file as the case progresses Scanning petitions/applications/documents in client’s file Completing data entry with accuracy to ensure proper case management Drafting cover letters and other correspondence as requested by attorneys Proofreading and editing documents Preparing forms accurately and in a timely manner for attorney review Communicating with current and potential clients in a respectful, professional, and efficient way Greeting clients and potential clients in a friendly and professional way Answering phones Scheduling appointments as necessary for yourself or an attorney Performing front desk duties Translating documents Interpreting for clients Skills and Qualifications: Excellent computer skills (Microsoft, Excel, Outlook, ImmPro, etc.) Strong analytical skills Strong problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Be a team player and get along with all staff members Excellent written and communication skills Position offers competitive compensation, health benefits, 401k options, and a generous vacation package.
