GRANTS & CONTRACTS ASSOCIATE LOMAKATSI RESTORATION PROJECT JOB SUMMARY Job Type: Full-time Wage: $48,000-55,000 Annually Physical setting: Office/Remote Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (some flexibility) Work Location: Office or remote depending on the candidate OVERVIEW Lomakatsi Restoration Project is a nonprofit organization based in Ashland, Oregon, dedicated to forest and watershed restoration across Oregon and Northern California. We implement landscape-scale stewardship initiatives in partnership with federal, state, tribal, and nonprofit entities to foster fire-adapted ecosystems and strengthen community resilience. As our work expands, we’re excited to welcome a new team member to support our mission. POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a full-time Grants & Contracts Associate to join our accounting and finance team. This role supports the Grants & Contracts Administrator in managing the lifecycle of grants and contracts, including invoicing, accounts receivable, reporting, and documentation. The Associate will play a key role in ensuring accurate tracking and coordination across departments. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Support grant and contract tracking, including onboarding, file management, and calendaring deadlines • Assist with invoicing: generate reports from QuickBooks, track grant-to-date totals, and prepare invoices for approval • Monitor accounts receivable: track incoming payments and follow up with landowners and funders as needed • Coordinate subcontractor documentation: ensure timely updates, maintain files, and track compliance QUALIFICATIONS • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; or 1–2 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping or contract management • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word • Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet (or similar) • Familiarity with QuickBooks or comparable accounting software preferred • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to meet deadlines consistently and maintain confidentiality • Excellent communication skills for working with clients, vendors, and internal teams • Nonprofit experience preferred but not required • Collaborative mindset and positive attitude BENEFITS PACKAGE Lomakatsi offers a competitive benefits package within the nonprofit sector: • Paid medical and dental coverage • Paid vacation and 11 holidays annually • 401(k) retirement plan TO APPLY Please submit the following materials: • Cover letter and resume • Three current professional references Send application materials to "jobs at lomakatsi dot org" with the subject line: Grants & Contracts Associate.
