We are currently looking for a commercial and residential Locksmith. Job requires familiarity with power hand tools; job also requires understanding of function of mechanical door hardware and how to adjust hardware for optimum performance. Organize, take inventory. Ability to work and communicate completion with foreman and/or project manager. We provide company issued tools & equipment as well as a company vehicle. Must be fluent in English (speak, write, read, and comprehend), Spanish speaking a plus. We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing as well as periodic spot testing as required by our Insurance Company. Applicants without 2-year minimum experience will not be considered. ***** EMAIL RESUME**** *****NO SMOKING IN COMPANY VEHICLES OR ON JOB SITES***** Full Job Description Essential Functions:  Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.  Understands door hardware  Understands layout, drilling, anchoring, installation and adjusting door hardware  Safely operating a variety of tools and equipment including key cutting equipment, hand and power tools (drills, grinders, saws, chisels, multimeters, etc.) to fulfill customer work orders  Must have a positive work ethic, a problem-solving mentality, and a 'can-do' attitude  Adheres to company policies and procedures; follows department training guidelines, best practices, and operating procedures  Works well with fellow Associates, Supervisors and Managers  Follows all Location Safety and Security Guidelines  Install and/or repair access control hardware (cut in electric strikes, auto operators, electrified locks, mag locks, etc.)  Ability to effectively present information to customers & commercial clients.  Accurate record keeping  Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Education/Experience/Qualifications:  Required - a minimum 2-year experience in locksmithing  Install and repair (mechanical &/or electrified where applicable) cylindrical locks, mortise locks, rim cylinders, interchangeable cores, closers, exit devices, threshold weather-stripping, kick plates, sweeps, hinges, locksets, door closers, levers, deadbolts, mags, strikes, access control, IP video cameras, low voltage cabling, etc.  Required - a valid driver’s license with a good driving record  High School Diploma / GED is a MUST  Must have good organizational skills  Computer literate is a MUST, (adept with computers and mobile devices as required for data entry and communications)  Ability to prioritize and multitask  Must be able to work in a fast pace environment  Ability to work successfully under the pressure of deadlines and to accept new ways of doing business  Safe and Fob Access experience is a Huge Plus  Re-keying cylinders/cores with ability to cut keys by code such as Medeco, Mul-T-Lock, Abloy, ASSA, Primus, etc  Diagnose field issues and effectively communicate what product or repairs are needed  Ability to effectively present information to customers & commercial clients.  Demonstrating professionalism, discretion, and trust with confidential material, information, and documents.  Maintain a unified and professional presence with the team and customers.  Various Door Hardware Manufacturers – e.g. Von Duprin, Stanley, Sargent  Various Key-Way Types and Manufacturers - e.g. Schlage, Best, Medeco Communication Skills:  Good written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to read, write and understand verbal instructions  Strong customer service skills Mathematical Skills:  Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Reasoning Ability:  Must be able to follow instructions, work independently and or within a team environment Physical Demands:  This position involves regular walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, hearing, and talking.  Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.  Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.  Must be able to lift a minimum of 100 lbs.
