Hearing Study (Non-Invasive) Location: Eatontown, NJ, and New York City, NY Age Range: 18+ Sex: Male/Female Stipend: Up to $325 or $800 per cycle Study Schedule: The study plans to complete multiple cycles of testing over the next year. You may be asked to complete one or multiple cycles of testing. Some cycles may consist of only one on-site appointment, while others may require additional at-home data collection. Schedule #1: Screening Visit 1, Screening Visit 2, and In-lab Testing (likely to occur on the same day of SV2). The length of each visit will be up to 3 hours. Schedule #2: Screening Visit 1, Screening Visit 2, and In-lab Testing (likely to occur on the same day as SV2), 14-day Data Collection at Home, and Follow-up Visit. The length of each visit will be up to 3 hours. Clinilabs is now enrolling adults with signs of hearing loss for a new, non-invasive research study to collect data via a wearable technology. No medication is involved in this study. Qualified participants must be: • At least 18 years of age or older • Experiencing mild to moderate hearing loss, such as: - Difficulty hearing speech in noisy places - Trouble hearing on the phone - Needing to turn the volume up on TV or radio, and other people complain it’s too loud - Wearing a prescription or over-the-counter hearing aid Able and willing to: • Attend visits in Midtown Manhattan, NY, or Eatontown, NJ • Complete all onsite and at-home testing as required by the study • Including up to 14 days of at-home data collection if selected for Schedule #2 Use of a cochlear implant or bone-anchored hearing system is not allowed for this study. There is no cost to participate. Compensation available for eligible participants, up to $325 for Schedule #1 and up to $800 for Schedule #2, for each cycle of study completion, as well as travel reimbursement for each on-site visit. Total compensation is dependent on the number of visits completed. • Screening Visit #1 – $100 • Screening Visit #2 – $25 • In-lab Testing – $200 • 14-Day Data Collection at Home – up to $200 ($100 value for completion of each 7-day use) • Note: You will be compensated for at-home data collection once the device is returned at the Follow-Up Visit • Follow-Up Visit and Device Return – $75 • Travel Reimbursement – up to $80 round-trip, per visit Know someone with hearing loss?
