You will work in people's homes and in varied community settings serving families in San Fernando Valley area. This is a part-time position (up to 30 hours per week) with flexible hours, with the potential of growing into a full-time position. Responsibilities: The Respite Companion will serve as the primary support staff and will possess the necessary skills to deal effectively with the day-to-day challenges of providing respite services to clients, including the demonstrated ability to increase specified client skills. Maintain a positive relationship with the family or families cared for Engage with the client through activities they enjoy Provide personal care and support to assist with daily living care needs Conduct and lead socialization activities Responsible for record-keeping for each of the service recipients. Requirements Qualifications: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent Basic computer skills Familiar with developmental disabilities Availability to work evenings and weekends. Since 2006, the Lamorinda Spirit Van Program (lovelafayette.org/spiritvan) has provided safe, reliable, affordable transportation for Lamorinda residents ages 60 and older. We help seniors get to medical appointments, run errands, shop, and enjoy lunch at Café Costa in Walnut Creek and more — supporting their independence and connection to the community. We are seeking a part-time Dispatcher to join our team. This position is typically 1–2 afternoons per week (4–6 hours each shift), with occasional additional hours to cover for other dispatchers.
