Construction Finish Carpenter O.R. Builders is a long-established Framing Company who is looking for a well-qualified construction Finish Carpenter to complete the finishing touches on trim and carpentry work for high-end custom residential homes. The Finish Carpenter should have strong organization and communication skills with the ability to interact well with clients, subcontractors and his co-workers. A Finish Carpenter should have a good understanding of rough and Finish Carpenter methods and techniques as well as refined carpentry skills. In addition to being an excellent framing and Finish Carpenter, he or she should exhibit good judgment, high ethical standards as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. Requirements and Qualifications: • Ability to perform finish and trim carpentry work according to plans and specifications • Measure, cut, and install various fixtures and millwork for doors, windows, ceiling panels, staircases, decking etc. • Collaborate with other carpenters, journeyman, and supervisors to complete projects • Troubleshoot and repair issues with building components and equipment • Erect scaffolding or ladders as needed • Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction • Completion of a relevant finish carpentry training program or apprenticeship or at least one year of carpentry experience • Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times • Keen attention to detail • Blueprint reading skills is a plus or preferred • PPE and carpentry trade tools • Previous Residential framing construction experience is a Must! Education: • Minimum; High school diploma or equivalent • Preferred; Some advanced education beyond high school Experience: • Minimum; 2 years’ experience in the construction industry / Residential Framing • Preferred; 5 years’ experience in the construction industry / Residential Framing Reporting Relationship: • Lead Foreman • Project manager • Company owners Location: Palo Alto, California Benefits: Health Dental Vision 401k
