Maintenance Technician I $5,000 Sign-On Bonus!*  Transdev in Lakewood, Washington is seeking a Level -1 Automotive Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Automotive engines across various vehicles and equipment. As an Automotive Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles. Transdev is proud to offer:  Competitive compensation package of minimum $24.50 (twenty four dollars and fifty cents) – Maximum $26.00 (twenty six dollars) $5,000 Sign-On bonus!*  Benefits include: Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks Sick days: 1 (one) hour earned for every 40 (forty) hours works Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability. Company paid ASE testing, paid training and training materials $1.00 (one dollar) per hour PM shift differential for assigned shifts that start 2pm or later Company stipends for ASE certifications for qualifying automotive series, currently at $0.25 per hour per certification Benefits may vary depending on location policy. The above represents the standard Corporate Policy.  Key Responsibilities: Perform repairs and replacements on Automotive engines, ensuring optimal functionality. Assist Level III and Level II Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow. Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns. Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies. Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications. Other duties, to include supporting the vehicle refueling operation as required. Qualifications: 1-3 years of experience as a Automotive Mechanic. ASE certifications preferred; ASE certification program provided Mechanic’s Tool Set Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason. Ability to obtain a DOT medical certification and maintain it active while employed. Company pays for DOT medical certification and annual renewals. Physical Requirements: The essential functions of this position require the ability to: Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-occasionally performed outside and the ability to work without supervision. Able to walk for long distances on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to reach equipment stored or operated at ground level Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes and noise.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
