Please do not message me asking if the car is still available. I will promptly take down the listing when it is sold. 2010 Honda Civic LX Sedan. We’ve owned this car for the past 11 years. It’s been incredibly dependable, but it was finally time to upgrade, now that we can charge an EV at home. I have extensive records and receipts for this car. All preventative maintenance is up to date, including things you won’t see on other cars like regularly changing the transmission fluid, power steering fluid, and adjusting the valve clearance. The car is priced accordingly for the many many miles of life still left in it. Registration is paid through July 2026 (you get one year free!). Smog is current. The car is paid off with a title in hand. Some recent 100k/150k maintenance includes: - New AC compressor and AC coolant refresh (old compressor seized) - New shocks & struts (routine >100k maintenance) - New battery (August 2025) - 1 new tire (the remaining 3 have good life left) Good: - Mechanically awesome and reliable! This car costs so little to run and maintain. I’m sad to see it go. - Driving experience (I love the connected way Civics drive, it’s what I’ll miss most) - Aside from the AC compressor seizing (now fixed), everything on this car has been expected, routine, preventative maintenance. I’d love to keep it because it’s so cheap to own, but we have too many cars now. - Clean title. No accidents. - I have extensive records including a maintenance log and Blackstone lab analysis of the oil, coolant, transmission fluid (all have come back with a clean bill of health) https://docs.google.com/document/d/12MZY0mPcUQGL2kAEOI-ptKBQ5BLY4UrSSowfn_R0TS4/edit?usp=sharing - From a hypoallergenic pet, non-smoking household (though we have transported friends pets before) Bad/Meh: - The paint. Hondas and several other Japanese brands are known for having thin/not great clear coat. This is a good example of that. - The hub caps are, well, 15 years old. - One steel wheel has a slow leak (I don’t believe it’s the tire). It loses ~3-5 PSI every month. Not a big deal, just top it off it every 1-2 months. - The sunroof trim sags, but you wouldn’t notice if I didn’t tell you. The sunroof is mechanically perfect. This is only the cosmetic trim. - I bought a brand new trim and all plastic clips in 2021. It stayed up for 2 months. The sunroof is a Russian brand, so you can’t get parts anymore. It’s possible an OEM sunroof would work, but I never investigated it. It’s also possible I didn’t install it correctly. - The interior dome light doesn’t work. I’m 99% sure I pinched the wire to the roof’s metal when reinstalling the sunroof cover. If you install a new fuse it blows immediately. If you un-pinch the wire it will start working again. I just lived with it. - The car spent its first 7 years and 85k miles in Ohio (a snowy state). The only part with noticeable rust is the rear brakes, but it’s purely cosmetic. The body is in great shape. Anytime work was done on the underside or inside the car, I always replaced with new fasteners (which are the first things to rust in snowy areas). - There’s small tears and burn holes on the back seat (There when we bought the car. We’ve never smoked, and the car never smelled like smoke) - The left side of the bumper has a few broken clips, but it’s still firmly attached. This is from hitting a cardboard box on 880 at speed. Specs: - Honda Civic LX Sedan - U-Haul 1 1/4 inch hitch (let me know if you’re interested in a bike rack for this hitch) - Brand new snow cables for the front tires are available (ask me) - Upgraded Group 34 battery (uses Honda Accord battery mounting hardware) - Costco Interstate battery Aug 2025 (Not pictured. The battery died a week after the photos were taken) - Viper Aftermarket remote start/lock/unlock (OEM lock/unlock still works) - Webasto Aftermarket sunroof - Thinkware FA200 Dashcam with front and rear cameras - Proclips USA permanent phone dash mount (way more sturdy than a windshield/adhesive mount) - MagSafe phone mount and charger (ask me if you’d like a traditional clamp mount and I can point you to what to buy) - All weather floor mats and original carpet mats - General G-Max All Season tires (I love the performance of them and still recommend them to folks) - Honda R18 1.8L engine - Synthetic oil for all oil changes (with oil analysis) - Changed either every ~7.5k or when the oil analysis lab recommended - Honda ATF Transmission Fluid (don’t use anything else according to the internet) - Good bill of health from the fluid lab analysis. - Honda Type 2 Coolant (Internet also recommends not to use anything else) - Spare tire in good condition - Includes the original owners manual and paperwork - Second key (valet version without remote lock/unlock) - Automatic 5 speed transmission Includes all spares parts I have including extra Honda coolant, ATF, filters, crush washers, etc (mostly stuff intended for future services). I also have many more pictures available than I was allowed to post here. Just ask!
