A small, established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our Quality Department. This position is responsible for performing daily in-process inspections on the production floor to ensure parts meet all customer and internal specifications. Additional responsibilities include receiving inspection of purchased materials and outsourced processes to verify compliance with quality standards and manufacturing requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Perform daily in-process inspections on small, intricate parts (lengths ranging from 0.25” to 4.00”; material thickness from 0.002” to 0.063”) with tight tolerances (+/- 0.002” to +/- 0.010”). • Conduct First Article, In-Process, and Final Inspections. • Complete and maintain inspection reports, Corrective Actions, Certificates of Conformance, and other customer-required quality documentation. • Inspect incoming materials, outsource parts, and certifications. • Utilize precision measuring tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators, and Keyence measurement system. • Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings. • Collaborate with production and office personnel to address nonconformances. Qualifications: • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality inspection within a precision sheet metal manufacturing environment. • Strong knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). • Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management System. • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). • Experience with CAD software such as Deltacad or SolidWorks is preferred. • High school diploma or equivalent. • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
