General construction and earthmoving company looking for a welder and for general laborers. Preferences will be given to individuals with a driver’s license. To do well in this position, you will need to be physically fit enough to remain standing for most of the day. You should also be mechanically skilled enough to use hand tools in whatever ways your tasks for the day require you to do. You will also be required to shave any facial hair for a respirator fit test and for the yearly test afterwards. Laborer’s duties include working with power tools, wood and metal materials, maintaining a clean work environment, general shop and yard maintenance, assisting in heavy equipment, truck/trailer maintenance, shipping and receiving goods, and proper execution of daily documents. Forklift, loader, and WELDING experience would be an asset and we are willing to train for other positions. Repair: Replace or repair worn or faulty parts, including brake pads, sensors and suspension components. Understand and repair various vehicle systems, such as engine, transmission, braking, and AC. Communicate about vehicle issues and maintain records on maintenance and repairs. Essential skills: Good understanding of how vehicle parts and systems work together. Must have ability to use a variety of hand tools, power tools. Must be to perform tasks that involve bending, reaching and lifting. You must be willing and able to learn new things.
