Our commercial kitchen in the heart of San Rafael bakes for farmer's markets, wholesale orders and catering. Our small team produces a wide variety of items. As a member of the bakery team, our employees have opportunity to learn from our chefs and hone skills in production, baking, and general kitchen efficiency. We are hiring for 2 primary roles: dishwasher and bakers. Both roles require previous experience in kitchens and we are willing to discuss schedules for the right person. Responsibilities and requirements for the dishwasher include: • Be able to lift 50lbs • Work in an efficient manner to clean bakery tools, dishes, and equipment • Organize workspace for production team according to directions from chefs. • Receive feedback from chefs and make improvements as needed • Support the production team as needed to complete work. Responsibilities for Baker include: • Be able to lift 50lbs • Precisely measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and direction from chefs. • Work efficiently and quickly on tasks • Be willing to learn new skills and adapt to our bakery's way of working • Use knowledge from previous bakery and kitchen experience to: work with precision on tasks such as food prep with knife skills; storing and managing ingredients; maintaining a clean workspace, use teamwork to complete tasks • Have interest in learning new skills and take direction from chef, and senior team members. • Be on time for scheduled shifts Schedules We are willing to work with the right people to build schedules that work for all, however we are very interested in hiring a bakers for early shifts from 12am - 7am, daytime shifts.
