Red Star Taco Bar, a taco and tequila bar/restaurant in Tacoma, is looking for a Line Cook. Tips ($5-$6/hr on average), shift meals, and one shift drink, are in addition to starting wage. Proven ability will bring higher pay. Requirements include: -Ability to handle high volume for long periods of time -Working weekends -Maintaining a clean and sanitary work area -Communicating clearly with the front of house -Consistent opening/closing procedures -Flexible Schedule Your schedule will include late nights and weekends We are a tight knit group and we like to work hard and play hard together. Maintains and monitors food quality according to USDA regulations and AZA accreditation standards. Performs routine record-keeping and related clerical duties such as data entry and maintenance of animal diet files. Creates food based enrichment per approved requests from Animal Management. Washes and sanitizes animal diet dishes/containers. QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma, GED or equivalent Six months or more related experience and/or training in a food warehouse environment. Experience with diet preparation processes. Washington State Fork Lift Safety Certification or the ability to obtain certification within 3 months of hire.
