





Position Summary The Campground Grounds Maintenance Person is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the campground’s outdoor areas. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining a welcoming environment for campground guests. Key Responsibilities • Perform routine landscaping tasks such as mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, raking leaves, and watering plants. • Monitor and maintain all common areas, including picnic sites, trails, playgrounds, and parking lots. • Remove litter, debris, and hazardous materials from all campground grounds. • Inspect and maintain outdoor facilities and amenities, reporting any necessary repairs to management. • Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal, leaf cleanup, and planting. • Operate and maintain equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, and utility vehicles safely and efficiently. • Perform minor repairs and upkeep to fences, benches, signage, and other campground infrastructure. • Support campground events and projects by setting up and breaking down outdoor spaces as needed. • Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns regarding outdoor cleanliness or safety. Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor maintenance is a plus. • Ability to operate landscaping tools and small machinery safely. • Basic knowledge of horticulture and landscaping best practices. • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and work outdoors in various weather conditions. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. • Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude. • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. Work Environment This position primarily involves outdoor work in all types of weather conditions. The Grounds Maintenance Person will interact with campground guests, staff, and occasionally vendors or contractors. The role may require the use of protective equipment and adherence to safety protocols. Compensation Pay rate is commensurate with experience.
