We ensure that all of our sauces, salsas, aiolis and other highly regarded items we serve at the restaurant are true to their origins. We take a lot of pride in our preparation of all of our items and they are the base of our success. As a prep cook, you are responsible for all prepared food items that will later be constructed into complete dishes. As all items we sell are strictly made in house with our teams, we focus on the freshest locally sourced ingredients as well as high end specialty products from some of our specialty purveyors and producers. You will be responsible for the production, which includes almost all facets of our craft such as proper weighing with scales, to chopping, peeling, butchering, and more. We also have high standards for cleanliness and storage, of which you will oversee during you shift. All prepped items will have a label and date of production on them, stored in the proper ways designated by the chef team. Responsibilities · Bring a positive attitude every day and work well with your fellow team members · Understand how to read a recipe and use basic measuring equipment such as scales, measuring spoons, measuring cups and larger format measuring tools · Be able to work in a tight area and produce exceptional food · Be able to stand, bend, walk, twist and carry up to 50lbs at times throughout the shift · Follow clear direction in food preparation and storage of all products · Have clear communication skills with your fellow team members and Chef team · Work clean and organized and understand time management while working through the prep list · Be able to work in hot and cold conditions while in the kitchen
