2004 Mazda RX-8 -- Low Miles, Adult owned, Grand Touring Model - $15,000 (Rolling Hills Estates)

43k original miles! This is the loaded, top-of-the-line Grand Touring Coupe, with the much sought-after Black and Red leather seats, rear wing, factory installed rocker panels, Home Link, power seat (also heated). The optional factory flat repair kit is still in the trunk as well. I looked for 2 years to find this exact spec, with low miles being the key. The original owner for ~35kmi was a woman. Extremely easy life and in great condition. I am 65+ and retired and have kept it as a 3rd car for when I want to row some gears. The car had PPF on the front end and mirrors when I bought it, which was getting cloudy, so I took it off to expose the perfectly fresh paint. The transmission oil & rear-end fluid changed at 36kmi, as well as the radiator fluid. Please note that the RX-8 requires conventional oil, synthetics are not compatible. I have changed engine oil every 2kmi. I installed a new windshield when I bought the car to have a new-car super clear view from the inside. I added 3M Cystalline window tint, ceramic coating, new Pirelli tires, Bluetooth adapter (GTA car kit) which handles Sirius XM, YouTube, etc with phone ability. One of the best upgrades I made was to change to ceramic brakes disc brake pads. Super smooth (no more grinding) and essentially zero brake dust, and the rotors are in great condition. One of the first upgrades was to install hi-performance low-resistance spiral-wrapped sparkplug wires. This made starts a breeze, key for the RX-8. And of course I changed spark plugs. And I installed a fresh AGM (absorbed glass mat) battery in 2024 for added performance and safety. I also added the cool factory rotary optional emblems front and rear. On the inside I added RX-8 floormats, and the Zoom-Zoom dash pad 😊 Because I am an Engineer and want to make things better, I chose to upgrade to Monroe OE Spectrum high-performance shocks & struts. Those, together with the Pirelli tires make the car handle and ride amazing. Much better than stock!
