Small walk-in closet with lots of storage shelves. Additional storage is available at no cost. Other amenities (smaller pieces of furniture, microwave, apartment fridge, TV) are also available if wanted. A well-maintained inground swimming pool is available for use seasonally. We are getting ready to close it for the winter, you may invite guests over, of course, when the weather permits. You have the use of a gas grill, a grill gazebo in process of being installed. Washer and Dryer on premise. Wash is free, but please donate five dollars for use of Dryer per load towards electric bill. There is a clothesline available on the premises or a launder mat down the street, a five-minute drive. You will be sharing the bathroom, which has both a small shower and a sunken soaker tub with one other person. You will share the kitchen, dining area, and living room with 2 adults (but I rarely use it). A guest bed is available at no extra cost for the occasional overnight visitor with advance notice. This might be nice if you are a parent with visitation. The house is located on Route 10, ten minutes from I-91 and 5 from Hinsdale, North field, Bernardston, and downtown Winchester. 25 minutes from Greenfield, Swanzy, Keene, and Brattleboro. Walking distance to Cha's market and gas station. A short walk on the property leads to a small catch and release pond. Occasionally family friendly parties will be held in the summer down there, the noise can't be heard from the house, residents and their guests are welcome to attend these gatherings. A Winter Ice Fishing Derby is held down there once every year. The house is also a working farm with alpacas and goats on the premises. We already have two cats but will consider other indoor pets. No smoking or vaping inside the house or near the animals please. No illegal drugs please and keep the boozing to a non-harmful level please. Room is intended for a single person occupancy, but double occupancy will be considered. We are two open-minded older ladies, both still employed and working full-time. I am the upstairs tenant and am gone from 7:30-7:30 five days a week and often gone at least one weekend day. I wear slippers or walk barefoot. We both use headphones when watching TV or on the computer. The second roommate (homeowner) has a bedroom downstairs, down the hall from yours (your bedroom is at the far side of the house on the 1st floor). She works full time (bookkeeping and office manager) from the house. We would like to see a like minded individual join our small family. Rent is due on the 1st of the month, first month rent, and a security deposit requested upon moving in. Rent can be lowered a bit if you are a handy person. We can work out a mutual agreement regarding small repairs or working with the barn animals. No extra fees for moving in before the 1st of November. Lots of wild animals on the property including deer, racoon, possum, skunk, occasional coyote, voles, birds of all kinds, field mice, red and gray fox, are among the many critters I have seen over the last few years. If wildlife bothers you, this will not be a good fit for you. Great scenery and lovely place if you are a photographer or a painter.
