Exhibit excellent customer service in handling and forwarding phone inquiries to their respective departments. • Assist Adoptions Department with website updates and animal inquiry emails. • Handle some purchasing requests for the Adoptions and Exotics Departments. • Receive and distribute items shipped to the Lantos Center. • Actively collaborate with other departments. • Assist Manager with special projects as needed. • Work quickly and effectively under pressure to deliver results in a fast-paced environment. • Communicate professionally and effectively with coworkers, volunteers and the public. • Work professionally with the public, customers and fellow co-workers. • Maintain organization and cleanliness of front desk area. • Assisting with daily care, cleaning and handling of dogs and other animals as needed Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This may include assisting in the completion of Animal Bite Reports. • Quickly assess and screen potential requests for service regarding domestic or wild animals, rescue situations, and/or other complex situations where our department involvement may be necessary. • Provide assistance to other departments as assigned or as necessary. • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure a positive public image, enhance the operation of the organization, and improve the quality of life for animals in our care and in our community. The Associate Teacher is responsible for the implementation of the established curriculum for the children, ages 18-months up to 3-year-olds, in the CANV Kids Development & Family Program. We specialize in French, Spanish and Italian wines, and the new world wines we carry tend to reflect our collective old world palate. We need someone 11am-7pm Tuesday-Saturday; Mondays we are closed. An occasional Sunday or two may be required over the holidays to ensure we have adequate staff coverage during these busier times. We are willing to look at candidates from within the industry with good wine/beer/spirits knowledge on a part-time basis. Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly, stock bottles and clean (dust, vacuum, wipe down glass surfaces regularly). Must be computer literate and be able to use a modern POS. Specific knowledge of Excel, Word, Affinity, Mail Chimp, and basic web maintenance a plus. Familiarity with major social media platforms and experience/skill writing copy for social media and the web desired. Wine, beer and spirits knowledge is required to be able to assist customers in selecting, purchasing and enjoying wine beer and spirits. A year or more of restaurant/wine/industry experience is a must or enrollment in wine education (WSET, CSW, Court of Masters, etc).
