Job Duties Provides safe and efficient operation of equipment used for the movement of packages/documents/heavyweight, dangerous goods and ULDs. Assists in the buildup/breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight. Serves as liaison between company and ULD repair vendor, as required. Performs other duties as assigned. Ability to maneuver packages in enclosed spaces and stack packages above one’s head if required at location. Able to work in all weather conditions if required at work location. The ability to communicate both timely and effectively, in a noisy operations environment, is required. Pay Transparency This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. QC Tech Civil Construction Field (Hartford)
Helical Drilling, a New England based design build Geotechnical Engineering firm is looking to fill a Quality Control Technician’s role. This role would ensure that the project’s specifications are followed and that Helical Drilling’s work has been installed according to the design. They will work with the Helical Drilling (HDI) field supervisor, HDI office, the general contractor, and the project geotechnical engineer. The individual is responsible for recording accurate field and production information on a daily basis along with recognizing unknown anomalies that can affect the original design parameters. When changes or anomalies do occur, they also need to collaborate with the above mention entities on solutions and/or repairs. A successful QC Tech will ensure a project has been built correctly. Responsibilities and Duties: • Read, understand, and follow the design submittal and specifications as it relates to construction of the project. • Document and transfer to field layout plans as-builts, test pier locations, offsets, newly discovered utilities, etc. • Read and understand the boring logs. • Inform field supervisor of on-site change of conditions. • Review design submittal to verify information is accurate. • Complete accurate and timely Daily Field Reports (DFRs). • Prepare plans for field production and use. • Document and report all anomalies. • Participate in project kick off and closeout calls. • Communicate with the HDI office, GC, and/or Geotechnical engineers as directed by field supervisor. • Keep track of production and assist in sequencing of installing elements. • Introduce and be engaged with the on-site geotechnical consultants. • Calculate volume of materials needed (concrete, cement, grout, sand mix, infield mix, etc.) • Setup and preform load tests.
