ProHealth also is the largest independent laboratory testing company on the Gulf Coast and provides laboratory and medical services to over 50K patients annually across it 7 locations. \r\nProHealth is looking for a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) that is energetic, passionate and outgoing and that is interested in providing a variety of care to our dynamic customer base. The Nurse Practitioner position is responsible for interviewing clients, obtaining and recording health histories, performing physical and developmental assessments, ordering appropriate diagnostic tests, diagnosing health problems and managing the health care of clients. Maintains health records and suggest referrals when necessary. Responsible for standard operating procedures, including but not limited to, ensuing policies and procedures within each office are carried out in a fair and consistent manner while providing excellence in patient care. \r\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\r\nResponsible for treating patients, obtaining the medical history and reviewing the of symptoms of the patient as follows:\r\n Performs physical examinations.\r\n Assures that preventive screening procedures are carried out and communicated to the patient and recorded appropriately.\r\n Responsible for identifying medical and health risk factors and communicating the same.\r\n Responsible for updating and recording changes on the health status and diagnosis. \r\n Orders appropriate diagnostic tests. \r\n Identifies appropriate pharmacological agents. \r\n Identifies non-pharmacologic interventions. \r\n Develops education plans. \r\n Accurately conducts and interprets diagnostic tests. \r\n Prescribes pharmacologic agents. \r\n Prescribes non-pharmacologic therapies.\r\n Provides patient education. \r\n Makes appropriate referrals. \r\n Determines effectiveness of the plan of care.\r\n Reassesses and modifies the plan as necessary. \r\n Promotes a safe environment for the patient.\r\n Participates as a team member in the provision of medical and health care. \r\n Interact with professional colleagues through chart review, consultation and referrals. \r\n Systematically reviews records and treatment plans with collaborating physician on a periodic basis. \r\n Maintains current knowledge by attending educational programs. \r\n Maintains certification in compliance with current state laws. \r\n Other measures may be initiated depending on the client’s condition and judgment of ARNP. \r\n Twelve lead electrocardiogram. \r\n Suturing simple and complex lacerations not requiring tendon or ligament repair. \r\n Incision and drainage of abscess. \r\n Care of wounds and burns. \r\n Application of splints. \r\n Removal of foreign bodies when necessary.\r\n May prescribe drug therapies that the ARNP may recommend, initiate, monitor, alter, or order. \r\n Any prescription medication which is within the scope of training and knowledge base of the nurse practitioner. \r\n May prescribe scheduled II through VI controlled substances in accordance with state laws and scope of practice as set forth and in accordance with protocols established between the practitioner and collaborative physician. \r\n All other procedures which ARNP has been educated to perform. \r\n Attending monthly meetings with branch and corporate staff and conduct the same when necessary.\r\n Ensures all OSHA, Safety and Healthcare Practices and Protocols are implemented and maintained within each branch.\r\n Responsible for ensuring all State Medical regulations are maintained as required.\r\n Ensures that all staff licenses are verified and maintained as required.\r\n Identifies and submit ideas for improvement.\r\n All other duties as assigned. \r\n Supervisory/Work Responsibilities: \r\nResponsible for assisting with overseeing the clinical staff.
