Finding the right match for this role is a critical aspect of continuing that success.    Overview  We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our clients Reliability Analytics team. This role is responsible for using advanced, non-machine-learning analytic techniques to investigate well-defined business questions, synthesize findings, and deliver actionable insights. The Senior Data Analyst will partner closely with management and stakeholders to clearly define problems, explore and analyze data, and present results in a way that drives business decisions and improves service reliability. This role requires 4 days per week in the Denver, CO office. Only candidates who are located in the Denver, CO area will be considered for this position. All qualified candidates MUST be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship. Please note that we do not work C2C. Requirements Partner with the management team to ensure business questions are clearly defined, scoped, and actionable. Leverage domain knowledge of the cable/telecom industry to quickly understand issues and data context. Develop an analytic approach in collaboration with management to address business needs. Identify and apply key attributes and metrics relevant to reliability analysis. Extract data from warehouses using SQL and prepare analyses in Excel or other BI tools. Build tables, pivot reports, and visualizations using reporting tools. Proactively identify and flag potential data quality issues or questionable assumptions. Apply foundational statistical and analytic techniques, such as correlations, statistical checks, and exploratory visualizations. Recognize limitations of observational data and apply methods to mitigate misinterpretation (e.g., correlation vs. causation, regression to the mean, confounding, selection bias). Ensure rigor in unit measurements, derived metrics, and interpretation of results. Translate analytic findings into a clear, compelling narrative supported by charts, figures, and tables. Develop professional, polished presentations in PowerPoint, emphasizing readability and clarity. Seek feedback from stakeholders and adapt insights for diverse audiences, with sensitivity to organizational dynamics. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in data analysis, with emphasis on reliability, operations, or telecom preferred. Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and BI/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar). Strong foundation in statistics, with ability to apply appropriate analytic techniques. Excellent communication skills with proven ability to distill complex analyses into clear, actionable insights. Experience working in the cable/telecom industry is highly desirable. Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s preferred. Compensation Sand Cherry Associates based in Denver, CO is required by state law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a long term consulting engagement, with an hourly range of $85-95 per hour on 1099 or adjusted commensurate salary on W2. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
