A new Assisted Living facility is looking for a Medical Technician (Med Tech) who is a Resident Medication Aide (RMA) supporting the facility and its team by acting as a front-line contact for residents. This role is a physical manifestation of the facility’s mission to provide quality senior care in accordance with federal, state and local policies and standards. Responsibilities: • Set-up and supervise distribution of medication to residents. Setup and assist with self-administration of medication. • Maintain resident medication programs and documentation, including medication distribution, ordering and reception, up-to-date file/records management, and storage. • Enhance the lives of older adults by assisting with doctor’s appointments, pharmacies, and daily living activities. • Exhibit ethical behavior, promote the highest degree of quality care and work cooperatively with other talented team members in daily support of residents. • Attend to other duties, as assigned. Requirements: • High School diploma/GED, or as required by state regulations. • Medication Management certified. • Must be at least 18 years old. • At least six (6) months of experience working with seniors in assisted living, home health, independent living, hospital or long term care environment. • A strong desire to serve and care for seniors, along with good and effective communication skills. • Ability to make choices and act in the resident's best interest and can remain calm in difficult situations. • Mandated Reporter of any suspected elderly abuse, neglect and/or harassment (e.g., physical, mental, sexual, etc.).
