Job Description: The Social Media Manager promotes the company, courses, programs, teacher and students through social media marketing. Remuneration and Hours: $30-$50 per hour, depending on experience 20-30 hours per week, work remotely Applicants who DO NOT have the following qualities will NOT be considered: 1. Strong copywriting AND design skills (competence in Illustrator and Photoshop) 2. At least 1 year of professional experience creating posts for an ad agency or major brand 3. Instagram Expertise 4. A background and strong interest in writing 5. Own a current working computer and phone with a strong internet connection 6. Willingness to participate in meetings over zoom with your camera on 7. Willingness to take feedback Main Responsibilities: -Conceive, create (write copy and design images) and schedule social media posts -Use Buffer, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc. to promote classes and events -Curate relevant content to reach the company's ideal customers -Contribute ideas to help engage followers through social media and marketing campaigns -Manage Company Facebook page, Twitter Page, Instagram -Grow Twitter, Facebook, Instagram followers -Create, curate and manage content such as copy, photos, memes, videos, etc. -Prepare reports for management that analyze social media posts and campaigns through Analytics -Analyze weekly sales numbers and build social media schedule to increase sales, translating anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising campaigns. -Respond to Tweets, FB posts and Instagram commentary -Upload videos This position may also include the following responsibilities: -Advocate for the Company in Social Media spaces, engaging in dialogues where appropriate -Create graphics, memes, videos and other custom content for posts. -Develop a marketing strategy and implement a proactive process for engaging customers -Monitor online ratings and user-generated content and respond accordingly -Monitor trends in Social Media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy -Creating budgets for social media campaigns -Tagging, Timing, and Testing Content -Social Media listening and monitoring -Content planning and strategy -Brand conversation -Watching competition -Tagging, timing, and testing content -Social Media Calendar -Building Engagement -Running and Analyzing Ads -Measuring ROI Other Qualifications: --Must be a writer who is passionate about craft and understands the different genres and disciplines (e.g. TV writing vs. Copywriting vs. Fiction) --Excellent interpersonal skills --Responsible --Takes direction well --Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Marketing, Graphic Design, Creative Writing, English Literature, Journalism, Screenwriting, Arts, related field preferred --Extensive experience using Twitter, Facebook --Hootsuite experience preferred --A flexible attitude and willingness to try new things --Enthusiasm for social media and strategic marketing --Extremely detail oriented --Excellent Graphics (Photoshop, Over, Illustrator) and video/editing production skills --Experience with Google and Facebook Ads --Able to work independently This is an excellent position for a writer as it leaves you dedicated time to write.
