This item is one of four vintage cloth books that I have individually posted; please take the time to look at the other three posts. This vintage 74-year-old toddler activity cloth book, titled ALL BY HIMSELF, is a true treasure for collectors of children's books. Published in 1950 by Plakie Toys in Youngstown, Ohio, it features charming illustrations by Allen Shaw and was authored by Kay Clark. The book is designed to keep little ones engaged and quiet with a variety of activities such as fastening a snap, buttoning a button, zipping a zipper, buckling a belt, putting an item in & out of a pocket and tying a shoe. The cloth binding and original printing add to the appeal of this piece. It's a must-have for any nursery book collection and a delightful keepsake to pass down through generations. This rare find is a testament to the enduring appeal of children's literature.
