Job Title: Tow Truck Driver Location: Petersburg, VA 23803 Hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with on-call rotation REQUIRED Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in towing operations, a valid driver’s license, and the required Virginia Tow Truck Driver’s Certification by DCJS. Responsibilities: Safely and efficiently operate a tow truck to transport vehicles, including passenger cars, trucks, and other types of vehicles. Respond to emergency towing requests in a timely manner. Perform light mechanical work on vehicles if needed (e.g., jump-starts, tire changes). Communicate with dispatch to coordinate pickups and deliveries. Maintain accurate records of towing activities, including details of vehicles towed, mileage, and condition. Ensure that all towing equipment is in proper working order and perform routine maintenance as needed. Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with customers and addressing any questions or concerns. Requirements: Valid driver’s license. ACTIVE Virginia Tow Truck Driver’s Certification required by DCJS. Proven experience as a Tow Truck Driver. Ability to operate different types of tow trucks and towing equipment. Strong knowledge of vehicle safety protocols and towing procedures. Excellent driving record and a commitment to safety on the road. Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift heavy objects when necessary. Ability to be on-call and available during off-hours as part of an on-call rotation. Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Ability to work independently and follow instructions from dispatch.
