Dog-E-Den is a busy Full-Service Dog Care facility in Tarzana located on the corner of Ventura Blvd. & Reseda Blvd. We are looking for responsible dog handlers who are looking for a seasonal job to help us during our holiday season: November -January. Dog handlers supervise, care for and play with our canine guests. Must be able to handle cleaning tasks that involve pee, poop and sometimes vomit. We are searching for motivated dog lovers who don't mind getting dirty or hard work. Ideal candidates should have flexible availability over the next 2 months, especially in the early mornings and late evening times (when most dogs get fed). Candidates must be available to work on/around the major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year). Preference will be given to candidates who have availability between the hours of 8pm-8am. Description: - Supervising play - Assisting with Feeding - General cleaning and maintenance chores This is an enjoyable job with animals, but staff is not here just to "pet puppies"; there is barking, flying hair, poop/pee, dirty paws and very physical work involved. This position can also lead to a full-time position after the holidays for the right candidate. Requirements: Applicants must be at least 18 years old and should be comfortable handling all types of dogs in a humane manner. Applicants should have a flexible schedule that allows them to work nights if necessary. You should be able to lift 50 lbs. and expect to be physically active for your entire shift. You should be able to work equally well either independently or as a team. Along with a strong work ethic and physical stamina, please be responsible, honest, patient and prompt; possess good verbal communication skills, a sense of humor and most importantly, a positive attitude and must love dogs!!
