MUST be local to Metro Atlanta Onsite REQUIRED The Georgia Dept. of Labor (GDOL) is looking for a skilled and experienced Quality analyst (tester) This role involves writing testcases, testing the applications, validating the results, identifying and logging the bugs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of testing Java programming language, and JCL on IBM/DELL mainframe operating systems. This is a consulting position offering a challenging opportunity to contribute to critical projects and enhance your technical skills in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: 1. analyzing business requirements and develop detailed test plans, test scenarios and test cases. Perform testing activities for Java, programs            on distributed platforms.  2. Strong Experience with database technologies such as Postgres and DB2 including queries and data verification  3. Execute test program changes, update test files, run tests, review results, and ensure the correctness of program changes based on provided            requirements. 4. Hands on experience in Jira tool 5. Prepare both program-level and user-level documentation to support the software development lifecycle. 6. Organize, manage and provide clear guidance to teams in order to reach the testing goals and tight deadlines with candor, transparency &               collaboration. Required Experience/Skills: 1. Minimum of 5 years' experience in Testing Java programs 2. Proven experience with DB2 and Postgres 3. Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle, including writing test cases, execution of test cases and integration testing,             and deployment. 4. Ability to troubleshoot, test, and debug computer software to produce required outcomes. 5. Strong analytical skills to support non-database functions, correct data errors, and develop data analysis/summary reports. 6. Experience in preparing comprehensive documentation for both program-level and user-level. 7. Excellent communication skills to obtain user sign-off on all changes prior to moving to production. 8. Capability to follow organization guidelines and procedures for checking out source code, migrating changes, etc. 9. Commitment to enhancing software for improved efficiency and reduced operating time. Good to have /Skills: 1. Java programing knowledge  2. AWS hands on experience 3. Kofax
