Part-Time Paralegal / Legal Assistant (Personal Injury)

A large DC law firm is searching to fill multiple long term entry level temporary positions with their conflicts department. These are entry level positions. The firm will provide training. Bachelor's degree preferred. Responsibilities include assisting the firm in identifying and resolving potential conflicts of interest related to new business and on boarding of both licensed and unlicensed professionals. Candidates must possess strong analytical, research skills and be computer savvy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills also needed. Candidates should be comfortable making a one year commitment. Hourly rate is $32.00 per hour and 1.5 for OT. Hours are 40 per week with possible OT if approved. MUST be able to work ONSITE at the DC law firm 5 days per week for the 1-2 month training period. Work schedule is 4 days onsite and 1 day remote after the training is successfully completed. JD with contracts, compliance or law firm conflicts experience? Client Agreements Advisor - REMOTE - for top tier global law firm. This position is in the Compliance department. Prior experience working with outside counsel guidelines and fee agreements preferred, conflicts attorney experience also helpful. This is a high visibility role that involves reviewing client agreements according to outside counsel guidelines. JD is a hard requirement. This position is responsible for leading analysis of/response to client terms of engagement. This analytical role ensures that agreements to non-standard terms are consistent, mitigate risk, and to the extent possible reflect business interests of the firm. Candidate will advise and work with the Client Agreements Manager and senior attorneys to manage the review, response and implementation of non-standard terms. Duties: Develop/maintain knowledge of business policies and practices, legal and ethical considerations, insurance requirements and guidance relating to firm agreements.
