Position Summary As a Field Engineer, you will be an essential member of the project team, providing engineering and technical support on-site. Working closely with project leaders, you will ensure contract compliance, uphold safety standards, and maintain high-quality work. Your technical expertise will be critical to the success of each project by contributing to planning, execution, and issue resolution. Essential Roles and Responsibilities: • Safety Awareness Incorporate health, safety, and environmental considerations into all project documentation and on-site activities. Act as a role model for safety excellence, contributing to job hazard analyses and fostering a culture of safety on the job site.   • Technical Acumen Oversee the Requests for Information (RFI) process, ensuring thorough review of specifications, project documentation, and visual examinations. Manage the preparation of construction and installation work packages for assigned disciplines, ensuring accuracy and completeness.   • Critical Thinking Participate in project team meetings, offering engineering insights and technical input to aid in project-related decision-making. Prepare detailed cost estimates for change order submissions and engage in client negotiations.   • Quality Control Conduct walk-downs to monitor progress on work packages and ensure timely completion. Track and report production quantities, communicating updates to project control and management teams.   • Customer Focus Collaborate with customers, engineers, and subcontractors to understand project objectives, schedules, permits, and costs, and provide solutions for site issues.   • Collaboration Build strong relationships with superintendents, providing clear and timely technical support for field execution.   • Project Execution Assist in turnover processes with construction and startup/commissioning teams, ensuring proper documentation is provided for project closeout. Requirements B.S. in Engineering or Construction Management preferred. 10+ years of experience in field engineering or project engineering, boiler installation experience Experience with starting up and commissioning power or industrial plants or systems is preferred. Proficient in utilizing construction management software such as InEight (Plan, Control, Document & Compliance Modules) or comparable platforms. Proficiency with AutoCAD and Bluebeam software. Understanding of basic engineering calculations and project costing/scheduling fundamentals. Completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training (or equivalent) required prior to hire or within 30 days of onboarding. NCCCO Rigger Level I certification preferred; candidates without current certification may be considered if willing to obtain within 90 days of hire.
