We are seeking compassionate and patient caregivers to care for my mother and father. Both have limited mobility (i.e., wheelchair bound) due to Parkinson's and dementia. However, despite it all, both are happy and good-natured. They enjoy watching action movies, comedies, and game shows, as well as discussing sports and music. An ideal candidate should possess prior experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant ("CNA") working with patients afflicted with Parkinson's or similar mobility-limiting afflictions as well as experience working with a feeding tube (i.e., G-Tube). All candidates must be able to perform the following daily tasks: bed transitioning, toilet transitioning, meal preparation, bathing, as well as dressing and grooming. She is a friendly, charming woman that likes to access the community. She is eager to work with a “Personal Assistant” who will value time spent in the community as well as downtime in the home. Together, you will enjoy shopping at Walmart, getting coffee, and going out to her favorite lunch spots. You will also work together on household chores, cooking, attending medical appointments, and running errands. She needs substantial assistance with showering, dressing, taking medications, shopping and cooking, physical therapy, and using adaptive equipment. You'll work two shifts per week totaling 42 hours: 8pm on Monday to 5pm on Tuesday and 4pm on Wednesday to 1pm on Thursday. *You’ll also work your regular hours on Agency holidays.
