“Coop Lite” household looking for two new housemates. We’d love it if you stayed awhile, and even became a member, but are open to short terms sublets. Available now. Room #1: Rent 980. 2nd floor corner room, quiet. Appr 170 sq ft, two large windows, both facing our yard. One large walk in closet with built in shelves. Can come with full sized bed, desk, desk chair and easy chair, if you wish. Room # 2: Rent $970. 3rd floor, 150sq ft, one window leading on to fire space. Walk in closet that some have used as study. Comes with loft bed. Top corner floor, so very private. Rent on both rooms includes ALL utilities (heat, electricity) but also wifi, laundry, and basic household supplies and food staples. First and last month’s required in advance. 3 story, 9 bedroom mansion with a covered front porch and HUGE wrap around yard with great trees and many birds. Two living rooms, a dining room, good sized kitchen, 2 pantries. On street parking, no permit required. Location: 8 minute walk from Nubian Square. Tons of bus lines to most parts of Boston and Cambridge, a half hour walk from the Longwood Medical area, 20 minute walk from the South End. The Coop: Currently home to 2 indoor cats and 6 humans who vary in age from Zoomer to Boomer. We’re mostly teachers, educators, graduate students, national park workers, or people in the non-profit sector. We have traditionally been home to — and welcome! — people of any age, race, ethnicity, religious, sex, identity, ability and sexual preference. We are also open to living with dogs, but need to meet your canine ‘other’ in person first. How the Coop runs: We are ‘coop lite’ in that we don’t require housemates to share communal meals or take responsibility for running the household. The coop members hold monthly meetings and are responsible for property management landlord-like duties. Everyone who lives here is welcome to attend the monthly meetings. We would like new members, are open to them; this is something we can discuss if we meet in person. You: Someone experienced in the art of adulting. This means being able to communicate in a responsible and considerate fashion — whether through email, text, or in person. Absolutely no smoking indoors. Non-negotiables: Pay rent on time. Complete weekly chores. Pick up after yourself in the kitchen and all communal spaces —we have a clutter-free, no-trace space policy. Check in with our online groupchat daily (it’s our bulletin board & message center). Be respectful and considerate of your housemates. This includes honoring the house designated quiet time from 10 pm to 10 am.
