Millwork Finisher – Full-Time Yellow Factory USA – Maspeth, NY Yellow Factory USA is a new and growing millwork shop located in Maspeth, NY, specializing in high-quality architectural woodworking. We are seeking a skilled, full-time Millwork Finisher with hands-on experience operating industrial finishing equipment and preparing materials for a range of custom wood products. This position is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team from the ground up and grow with the company. Health insurance is offered after a 90-day probationary period. Responsibilities: Sanding, buffing, polishing, and toning using industrial finishing machines and tools. Preparing surfaces for finishes including primer, paint, stains, and clear coats. Conducting quality inspections and performing necessary touch-ups to meet finish standards. Collaborating with production team members to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Adhering to job specifications and finish standards for each project. Requirements: Proven experience with finishing in a millwork or woodworking environment. Familiarity with industrial machines used for sanding, spraying, and surface preparation. Experience with paint spraying techniques and knowledge of color mixing machines. Experience with the Cefla spray machine and drying oven is a plus. Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship. Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions. Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. Good communication skills and a team-first attitude. This is for a light manufacturing position. Responsibilities include: Sewing the filters (on a stand up chain stitch sewing machine), cutting filter pads, pre-assemble air filters, and also working in the warehouse. Warehouse duties include helping loading and unloading trucks, pulling orders, etc. You may be asked to do other duties outside these listed. You should have a responsible and positive attitude. Requires walking, standing, and working on your feet. Previous experience not required. This job is full or part time. SUMMARY: Receives raw materials from railroad cars and delivers material in proper mixtures to hoppers in the storage area. Regrinds faulty product for re-use as raw materials. Ensures proper mixture of new and reground material. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: • Achieves daily quota for production. • Cleans surfaces and machines located in the Raw Materials Department. • Transfers raw materials from transportation containers through mechanical receiving systems to hoppers, blenders or tumblers. Mixes, by formula, additional raw materials including pigments, reground material and chemical agents to achieve and transfer appropriate blended material for use in injection molding machines. • Writes hopper labels describing the weight of the material and the weight of pigment contained in the material. • Operates the regrind machine to grind rejected products into raw material and operates the metal detector on the material to ensure it is clean and ready for reuse. • Reads production schedule to determine amounts of virgin and reground material that is needed to meet the production plan. • Performs minor maintenance on machines. Requirements Previous manufacturing experience preferred. Effectively communicate in both written and oral forms. Read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos. Write simple correspondence. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization. Calculate amounts in percentages and fractions, including multiplication and division of fractions. Apply concepts of basic algebra. Basic knowledge of the metric system. CNC Operator/Draftsperson Display and wood cabinetry interior manufacturing company seeking motivated and responsible individual to perform shop duties, with partial responsibility to help run our 3-axis CNC machine and assist with our drafting department. Must be able to cross over in both the CNC area and The Drafting dept. Candidate must be flexible and have some experience in setting up and running a CNC router and cabinet making experience. Materials used will have a wide range; from MDF and plywood to plastics and aluminum. Must be experienced n CAD and CAM software, 3D rendering. Experience in creating CNC DXF files is a plus. Candidate must: - Be able to read shop drawings - Understand CNC tooling and make necessary adjustments for proper cutting. - Have a basic understanding of Autocad (be able to pull measurements and create basic objects.) - Experience with Rhinoceros is a plus -be skilled in drafting decorative patterns, understanding materials and engineering. -have daily interaction with the production team - intricate millwork and heavily sculpted three-dimensional elements for production, - great team working skills requested.
