Key responsibilities of a CNC Programmer often include: Developing and optimizing CNC programs: . Creating new programs or modifying existing ones for various CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.). CAD/CAM software proficiency: . Utilizing software like Mastercam, SolidWorks, or Esprit to design and simulate machining processes. Interpreting technical drawings: . Understanding geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure accurate part production. Tool selection and setup: . Determining appropriate cutting tools and setting up machines for optimal performance. Troubleshooting and problem-solving: . Identifying and resolving issues during the machining process.
