Shipping Assistant

DESCRIPTION: The Shipping Assistant is responsible for preparing, packaging, and shipping customer orders with accuracy and efficiency. This role supports both the production and service teams by ensuring that outgoing orders meet company standards for quality, presentation, and timeliness. The Shipping Assistant plays a key role in maintaining smooth daily operations and delivering a positive customer experience. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Accurately pick, pack, and label orders for delivery and shipping. Ensure all outgoing shipments meet quality standards and order specifications. Maintain organization and cleanliness of shipping and storage areas. Assist in managing shipping materials and inventory, notifying management when supplies need replenishing. Coordinate with delivery services and internal teams to ensure timely order fulfillment. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines. Support additional tasks as needed to meet operational demands. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on one’s feet for an extended period of time. Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects at once. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Accountability for order accuracy and timeliness. NYC DOH Food Handler’s Permit card and/or ServSafe certification is a plus.
