Oasis Ascent, a short-term residential treatment program for teenagers located in Provo, Utah, is seeking a Youth Mentor. In this role, you will work closely with adolescent residents to provide guidance, support, and mentorship as they navigate their way to recovery. At Oasis Ascent, we take adolescent mental health seriously and we strive to provide the highest quality of care to our clients. As a Youth Mentor, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with clinicians, case managers, and support staff to ensure that our clients receive the care and support they need. Responsibilities Build rapport with adolescent residents and provide emotional support as needed. Assist with daily routines, ensuring that residents are following their treatment plans and meeting established goals. Facilitate and participate in group and individual activities that align with residents' treatment plans. Model appropriate behavior and life skills, reinforcing positive behavior and redirecting negative behavior. Maintain accurate and updated records of residents' progress, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner. Collaborate with other members of the treatment team including clinicians, case managers, and support staff to ensure that residents receive comprehensive and effective care. Attend and participate in trainings and meetings as required.
