Position Summary The Journey-level GIS Database Administrator will provide professional knowledge and experience in developing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining geospatial and alphanumeric data models and databases in both on-premises and cloud environments. This position supports database operations and geospatial services for GIS customers nationwide, working under the guidance of senior administrators to maintain Microsoft SQL Server instances and PostGIS databases that support enterprise geodatabases and editing workflows. The role provides opportunities to develop expertise in spatial database administration and web service management. Duties May Include: Support development, maintenance, and operations of Enterprise Geodatabases and SQL Server/PostgreSQL instances Assist with development and maintenance of geospatial data models and database systems Support enterprise data architecture implementation to meet business requirements Help configure and publish geospatial web services for feature service editing workflows Assist with Enterprise Geodatabase and web service configuration to support customer requirements Monitor database performance and support user access management Support backup and restoration procedures and data replication monitoring Assist with database parameter optimization and performance tuning Support implementation of new releases and routine maintenance activities Help develop and maintain database documentation and metadata records Assist with security controls implementation as defined by STIG requirements Support response to security alerts and database security compliance Help develop functional specifications for alphanumeric and geospatial data systems Support database troubleshooting and problem resolution activities Assist with data migration and database upgrade projects Requirements Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems, or related field Minimum 2 years of experience with database administration or GIS technologies Basic knowledge of Enterprise Geodatabases and spatial database concepts Understanding of SQL and database management principles Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL database systems Basic knowledge of geospatial web services and GIS platforms Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively in team environments Active NAC or NACI security clearance eligibility Desired Qualifications: Experience with ESRI ArcGIS products and spatial databases Knowledge of cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS) for database management Understanding of database security principles and compliance requirements Familiarity with version control and change management processes Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for database automation Knowledge of web service technologies and API development Understanding of backup and disaster recovery procedures Interest in advancing to senior-level database administration roles Benefits At Trinity Global Consulting (TGC), we value our employees and provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes: Medical, Dental & Vision Coverage – Full coverage for employees and family through CareFirst and VSP. Neal R. Gross and Co. is a leading Court Reporting and Transcription services company based out of the Washington, DC area with work across the country. Our clients include local, state and federal courts, the House of Representatives, Department of Defense and clients in the private sector. We are looking for experienced Court Reporters to work on a contract basis to visit client sites in their local area. You will use specialized equipment to create an accurate record of proceedings in numerous places including legal courts, non-profit board rooms, and depositions. We are very flexible, and looking for candidates that can work anywhere from a few jobs a month to 2-3 per week.
