Drill Rig Operator or Assistant (Newark)

Immediate full time openings for Drill Rig Operator and Drill Rig Assistant Operators in both our Newark, DE and West Deptford, NJ offices. Workload consists of conducting test borings and performing soil sampling and rock coring for geotechnical and environmental investigations in addition to installation of monitoring wells. Equipment operation and maintenance experience preferred for Rig Operators. Assistant Operators do not have to possess prior experience, and have the opportunity to work towards full operator status including formal and informal training provided at no cost to the employee. Job Requirements: • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn new skills as part of a strong company team • Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record • Ability to pass routine random drug screens • Operate a drill rig and other mechanical equipment • Routinely lift and carry equipment, tools and materials up to 75 pounds • Regular use of hand tools such as shovel, hand auger, etc. • Standing, bending, and twisting required throughout the work day • Work outdoors year-round in all weather • Perform routine maintenance of equipment including vehicles, machinery, and tools • Travel daily to job sites and periodic overnight travel in company-provided vehicles Preferred Qualifications (not required): • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) • 40-hr OSHA HazMat training or TWIC • Welding experience • Ability to operate and/or maintain other equipment (e.g., backhoe, skid steer, etc.) CGC Geoservices offers an excellent benefit package, overtime pay and is an Equal Opportunity Employer AA/M/F/V/H.
