1976 Chevrolet G20 Shorty Van - $20,000 (Lowell, IN)

Description

***NO TRADES*** - Selling the Swamp Racer - a 1976 Chevy G20 (3/4 ton) shorty van. This van needs nothing... hop in and drive! This is a factory A/C van and has been converted to R-134a. A/C and heat work great. All dash gauges work. All interior/exterior lights function as they should. The aftermarket radio works, and all speakers work... though, they are very outdated. The second owner of this van purchased it in California 30 years ago from the original owner, and moved to Decatur, Alabama shortly thereafter. I purchased the van from the second owner in April 2024, and had the van shipped from Alabama to Indiana. I purchased the van as a non-runner... it had been sitting for 8+ years. It took six months in 2024 to get this beautiful rig roadworthy. Please check out this Instagram link for all the in-progress photos from last year: https://www.instagram.com/s/aGlnaGxpZ2h0OjE3OTkyNDc4MjQ2NzU0NDE4?story_media_id=3350701220917849952_700312056&igsh=NmkzaHJ4eHZ3bmE= NEW PARTS: -new battery -new power steering pump with new return/pressure lines -new radiator with new upper/lower hoses and OEM cap -new A/C compressor -changed out the A/C evaporator and blower motor that was pulled from a pampered RV - still have the original parts as well -all new belts -NOS duct work behind the dash -new heater core -full tune-up (plugs, wires, cap and rotor) -new MSD distributor -new valve cover gaskets -new Edelbrock 600cfm 4-barrel carb with Edelbrock air filter -dropped gas tank and acid flushed -new rubber fuel lines -new fuel sending unit -NOS brake/clutch pedal assembly This van has no rust. There is a very minor indention on the rear passenger quarter panel, from a parking lot incident (as told by previous owner). The body of the van had a very honest and thin respray (single-stage) completed in the 90's, due to sun fading. The factory color is Summit Green. The van has a very cool patina effect where the original Summit Green paint is showing through the respray. This van is about as factory original as you're going to find, while still sporting a very modest boogie look and feel. There are FOUR bubble windows on this van, two on each side. There are no holes cut into the roof, and no evidence of spoilers, visors, or fender flares ever being installed. The undercarriage is exceptionally clean. The interior is sporting some 70s era paneling and carpet. The seats are 99% perfect. All four mag wheels have three year old tires with strong tread. This is a uniquely optioned van - please see photo showing the option codes. The van has the original 350 V8 engine paired with the original 3-speed manual transmission (3-on-the-tree), with power steering and power brakes. Mileage reads 88K, and more than likely has rolled over once. There is a custom hitch receiver installed on this van. Rear pop-out glass is factory original to the van and not added by previous owners. There is a secondary fuel tank (fiberglass) attached under the driver side body. I have not tried using it, but it does register on the gas gauge when the dash switch is flipped to it. Price is $20,000. Thanks for checking out my listing. -Mario
