Location: El Cajon, CA
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay Rate: $21/hr

Position Summary:
The Forklift Yard Worker is responsible for safely operating forklifts and performing general labor duties in an outdoor yard environment. This position involves loading and unloading materials, organizing inventory, maintaining a clean yard area, and assisting with daily logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
*Operate sit-down or stand-up forklifts to move, load, and unload materials in the yard
*Stage products and materials according to instructions from supervisors or dispatch
*Assist with loading and securing materials onto flatbeds, trailers, or trucks
*Maintain yard organization, including stacking pallets, sorting materials, and clearing debris
*Perform visual inspections of equipment and report any safety or maintenance concerns
*Assist customers, drivers, or team members with material pickups and deliveries
*Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
Qualifications:
*1+ year of recent forklift experience (outdoor or yard setting preferred)
*Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain through employer)
*Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift
*Comfortable working in all weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, etc.)
*Strong attention to safety and teamwork
Work Environment:
*Outdoor yard or warehouse yard setting
*Exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and varying weather conditions
*Fast-paced and physically active work environment
