Very original car in great condition. Early production year model with chrome bumpers and black grille. Third owner since new, bought in 1978. Garage kept with car cover, driven only occasionally over the past decade. Professionally maintained with service records, and original owners and service manuals. 1800cc inline 4 cylinder engine with twin SU HIF4 carbs. Starts right up from cold and idle smooths out nicely within a minute or two with choke fully off. Four speed fully synchronized manual transmission. 3.93:1 rear differential ratio. Soft convertible top, original hard top, tonneau cover and boot cover included. Original paint, not perfect, but very nice for a 50yo car! A couple of very small dings, and quite a few of the typical small gravel chips on the leading edge and rockers. Aside from that it looks remarkably nice and well preserved. Both the soft and hard top as well as the tonneau cover and boot cover are in excellent condition. A new soft convertible top was installed years ago with a high quality replacement including the zip-in clear plastic rear window. It looks fantastic with the exception of one small split near the boot. Should be a near-invisible repair by a competent auto upholstery shop. The tan interior is in excellent condition, including the seats. (Was always used with seat covers.) One typical small wear spot on the driver's seat side bolster. Dash is almost perfect, with just one small ~1" split on the edge above the glove box. Original wire wheels with stock knock offs in excellent shape. Factory knock off wrench included with jack set. Original matching full size spare wire wheel and factory jack set. Tires have less than 100 miles on them. Fuel tank drained and checked for corrosion/junk (nice and clean, no maintenance needed). New in-tank fuel gauge sender, printed circuit type from Moss Motors. All accessories are fully functional with the exception of the fuel gauge, which may be remedied by the time you're reading this. Recent full tune up including new 12v battery, NGK plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, ignition points and condenser, oil and filter, air filters, fuel filter and fuel hoses. Dwell & timing set to factory specs. Carburetor idle and fast idle adjustment lock nuts replaced with easy to adjust spring loaded screws. Carbs cleaned, adjusted, and synchronized. Nearly new alternator. Molded plastic battery boxes from Moss Motors installed in the two factory battery wells. Battery holddown kit added.
