Modern Machine is a Boeing license of Ground Support Tooling for heavy base maintenance of wide body aircraft. The assembler is responsible for assembly of all machine, fabrication, tooling assemblies. Coordinating with planning for purchased parts outside processing painting to coincide with assembly schedule. Proficient with small hand tools familiar with lathes mills welding processes pressing bearings bushings, drilling pinning of assemblies. The assembler must have trade schools min 2yr deg or 5 yr experience Assembly of aircraft or Boeing related tools is preferred but not a requirement. Perform inventory accounting and control records entry and review, demand processing, requisition and re-supply, receipt and release of property, shipments, and management information recoverability. Perform periodic inventories of plant property, materials, and equipment. Gather information to support inventory records, discrepancies, and assist with corrective actions. Process disposal documentation as required, and post status record changes to maintain control of equipment dispositions. Process material receipts; enter data in the inventory control system; enter receiving and shipping documentation; and notify management of discrepancies with maximum supervision. Follow technical written procedures issued by the Federal Government for requisitioning, receiving, and storing supplies, repair parts, and equipment. Requirements A High School Diploma and (2-3) years of general work experience is required. An active DoD Secret clearance is required to start. The applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able to follow technical written procedures issued by the Federal Government. Must maintain a valid state-issued driver's license and be able to drive and operate a vehicle (car, truck, van). Perform fabrication, assembly, and packaging operations. Principal Responsibilities Fabricate fittings to customer specifications using customized fabricating equipment, hand, power tools, adhesives, and fixtures. Obtain components from stock/production. Set-up equipment to match product requirements. Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and demonstrate good communication skills. Inspect completed parts. Prepare parts for shipping by placing them in boxes or on pallets. Correctly label all parts and boxes as needed. Visually inspect all incoming pipes, components, and gaskets for defects. Apply 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles. Maintains a safe working environment by following Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and attending training that is provided where required. Maintains a respectful working environment by following Human Resource Policies and attending mandatory training when required. Assist in the coordination, preparation, and execution of year-end inventory. Completing and maintaining reports for managers as required, which may include: Production reports Scrap reports Other duties may be assigned when applicable. Requirements Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred, however, full training will be provided Must be knowledgeable in basic math Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Must be a self-starter with good interpersonal and verbal communication skills coupled with an eagerness to learn Good team player including with a demonstrated ability to chip in to and foster a positive team environment Working knowledge of Health and Safety practices is helpful.
