2008 FORD Escape XLT SUV AWD - $4,350 (scotts valley)

Miles: 143,000 Color: Vista Blue Condition: Fair to Poor. This is my dad’s car which he now needs to sell having moved into a retirement home here in California and given up driving at the age of 97. He moved to California with the car from Oregon, so it is currenlty titled with an expired Oregon plate. Mechanically the car drives great, but the body and interior have some damage and wear showing. My dad had a number of small fender benders (which was the sign it was time for him to give up driving), so there is some body damage, the sunroof leaks water the roof has some rust, and the back hatch does not currently open with the switch on the rear hatch door. Includes new latch, which he never installed. The air conditioner works and has functional regular and power air settings. There are two full function keys with the car, the 4 remote functions work (see pics) and one of the remote buttons opens the latch to the rear window, which at least gives access to the rear since the hatch latch is not working. All the automatic door/lock switches work, I did not test the radio/CD player but the dash shows the radio station number along with outside temp. There is a tire pressure sensor message showing on the dash message board so they probably don’t work and it also mentions needing an oil change. I believe the car has had regular maintenance up in Oregon. All the side windows have full tint applied and also at the top of the windshield. There is some peeling. Mechanically: the car is great, power is good, it drives and handles well and the brakes function smoothly with no noises. Tires look quite good, I just now put in a new battery as the old one was gone. This is a great car for someone who wants the All-wheel drive and trailer hitch and can do some fixit and DIY upgrade.
