Company Overview Corporate E-waste Solutions (CEWS) is a certified electronics buyback and recycling Company with a Social Impact Focus. CEWS maintains industry certifications and safety standards to ensure all electronics are managed properly and in an environmentally conscious manner. We are seeking a proactive and relationship-driven Account Manager to support our ITAD (IT Asset Disposition) and electronic waste recycling services. As a certified downstream recycler serving collectors and corporate clients nationwide, we depend on strong account management to deliver exceptional service, maintain client satisfaction, and grow long-term partnerships. In this in-office role, you’ll be responsible for managing existing customer accounts, ensuring smooth onboarding, coordinating service requests, and monitoring account activity. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, handle inquiries, oversee receivables follow-up, and identify opportunities for additional services. By strengthening customer relationships, you will play a key role in client retention, satisfaction, and sustainable growth across industries such as data centers, enterprise IT, school districts, government agencies, and OEM manufacturing facilities. Responsibilities: • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts after initial acquisition by the Business Development team. • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction, retention, and account growth. • Respond promptly to customer requests, inquiries, and service needs, coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth execution. • Manage customer onboarding, ensuring new accounts transition seamlessly from sales to service delivery. • Monitor client activity and usage of services, proactively addressing issues or gaps before they escalate. • Provide regular updates and reporting to clients on service performance, recycling outcomes, certifications, and compliance. • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services in collaboration with the Business Development Representative. • Conduct periodic cold calls and outreach to dormant, past, or lightly engaged accounts to reestablish relationships and uncover new opportunities. • Track and manage account activities in Salesforce CRM, ensuring records remain accurate and current. • Monitor aging of receivables for assigned accounts; communicate with customers regarding out-of-term invoices and coordinate with internal finance teams to resolve payment issues. • Act as a liaison between customers and internal operations (logistics, compliance, and processing teams) to resolve challenges efficiently. • Support customer renewals and assist in contract negotiations as needed. • Contribute to continuous improvement of account management processes and customer experience. • Represent the company in client review meetings, site visits, and industry-related events when required. • Work on-site at our Hayward, CA office; full-time in-office presence required. • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Associate degree in Business, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). • 2–4 years of experience in account management, customer success, or client services (preferably in recycling, IT asset disposition, or B2B service industries). • Experience with Salesforce CRM or equivalent platform. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint). • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients. • Proven track record of managing customer accounts and driving retention or growth. • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, customer-first mindset. • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously. • Familiarity with receivables monitoring, invoice follow-up, or basic billing practices is a plus. • Familiarity with sustainability, electronics lifecycle management, or data security is a plus.
