Position Summary: The Server is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience at the dining table, within the kitchen equipment showroom, and in the Hestan culinary wares department. This role requires a strong interest in cooking and wine, along with comprehensive knowledge of Hestan Napa’s policies, food and beverage offerings, culinary wares, kitchen equipment, and service standards. Servers are expected to be organized, proactive learners of the Hestan Napa product line, and effective salespeople for food, beverages, culinary wares, and kitchen equipment. Key Responsibilities: *Understand preparation methods, ingredients, portion sizes, culinary ware collections, and key selling points for kitchen equipment. *Be familiar with the restaurant’s menu to answer questions and make recommendations. Serve food accurately, including any required tableside preparation. *Know the beverage offerings and provide informed recommendations. Properly serve beverages, including opening, decanting, and pouring wine. *Manage the pacing of each guest’s experience, ensuring timely and attentive service. *Maintain in-depth knowledge of Hestan Napa’s product lines. Engage with guests to answer questions and recommend products. *Process all food and beverage orders through the Toast POS system before service. Handle culinary ware and kitchen equipment transactions via the Shopify POS system. *Complete the A.B.C. Responsible Beverage Service Certification. Adhere strictly to A.B.C. liquor laws, especially regarding service to minors and intoxicated individuals. *Obtain a California Food Handlers Card within 30 days of hire. *Follow all guidelines outlined in the Hestan Napa Standards of Service Manual. *Attend scheduled meetings, including wine seminars, product training sessions, and service improvement workshops. *Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management. Qualifications: *High school diploma or equivalent. *Must be proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing) and basic math. *Ability to stand for up to 6 hours, reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently. *Minimum of 2 years in a high-quality dinner house environment. *Proven ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations.

Mission Bowling Club, a boutique bowling alley in the heart of the Mission District that serves comfort food and craft cocktails, is looking for a hard working person to work at our bowling desk. An ideal fit is an individual who is team oriented, attitude free, fun & upbeat, and enjoys working with people. For the bowling attendant position, we are looking for someone who is available to close Saturday evenings (7:30pm - 12:30am) and Wednesday evenings (6pm - 10:30pm). There will also be many opportunities to pick up more hours if your schedule allows. This is a great job for students or folks that work in the mornings and want a second job. Upbeat, charismatic personalities are a huge plus for this position as you will be interacting with our guests and making sure they are having the best time possible. Must be able to multitask and prioritize effectively as this often position requires juggling multiple responsibilities at once. Job duties include managing each day's bowling reservations, using a POS system and taking payments, bussing dishes and glassware, cleaning, answering phones, etc. Some very basic mechanical maintenance is also required (with training provided by our skilled full time mechanic), so must be open to working with large machines. Hi All! Our little bagel shop in Albany continues growing! We want to continue providing the best experience and quality of food possible so we are looking to add to our team of sandwich makers. For this role, we are looking for someone with experience in fast paced work environments, ideally someone who has worked with food in the past, in any capacity. We will train and are happy to do so, but the learning curve is much easier with a little experience. Shifts start at 6am and end at 2:30pm. You will help with morning prep until we open at 7:30, then we take on the orders of the day, at 1:30pm we close and collectively clean up the shop for the day. Hella Bagels has been open since March '24 and before that was a delivery and pop up business since March 2020. We take a lot of pride in the work we do, the quality we uphold, and the emphasis we have on being a place of community, one that welcomes all, and is a safe space.
