Food is made to order from healthy fresh meats, produce and vegetables. Line Cook Compensation: Starting $16-18 to be reviewed in 90 days Employment type: Part time 32 hours per week Line Cook Under the supervision of our lead chef, this position will generally assist in all aspects of creating our finished food offerings. Involves chopping, cutting, mixing, toasting and grilling according to our recipes and standards. The position also includes limited dishwashing and one day a week taking the lead in cooking. Care, safety, pride of work and consistency are top priorities. Key skills also involve teamwork, prioritizing, working under pressure and customer service. General Accountabilities Inspects and cleans food preparation areas or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices. Ensures food is stored and cooked at correct temperature. Ensures freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock. Seasons and cooks food according to recipes. Bakes, roasts, broils, and steams meats, vegetables, and other foods. Observes and tests foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently. Carves and trims meats. Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies Prepare food for service and consumption (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff Answer, report and follow chef's instructions Clean up station and take care of leftover food Stock inventory appropriately Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks Familiar with industry best practices If you are interested in joining the JACO family, email us at krass@jacojuiceandtaco.com or stop in to pick up an application. Feast Your Eyes Catering is hiring a hourly Catering Production Kitchen Dishwasher. This role is the backbone of our kitchen operations. You’ll keep the dish room moving, the kitchen & Feast HQ spotless, and the team supplied—so our culinarians can execute beautiful food at scale and our events run flawlessly. If you’re organized, reliable, and take pride in clean, efficient spaces, you’ll thrive here. What You’ll Do • Operate dish machines and three-compartment sinks per SOPs (wash/rinse/sanitize and air-dry). • Wash pots, sheet pans, inserts, knives, cutting boards, smallwares, and service ware to “event-ready” standard. • Sort, label, and restock clean wares to assigned locations; maintain clear bin and rack organization. • Monitor machine temps, sanitizer concentration, and change water/chemicals on schedule; log as required. • Maintain a spotless Feast HQ: floors swept/mopped, drains/grease traps maintained, trash and recycling removed, bathrooms kept clean. • Clean and sanitize worktables, shelving, walk-ins, hot boxes, speed racks, carts, ovens’ exterior, and equipment exteriors. • Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing checklists; escalate maintenance issues promptly. Safety & Communication • Practice safe lifting and equipment handling; wear required PPE and slip-resistant footwear. • Participate in daily huddles; communicate shortages, damage, or schedule risks early. • Uphold Feast standards: professionalism, teamwork, and guest-ready cleanliness. What You Bring • Experience in a high-volume kitchen, hotel, or catering dish room (preferred); we will train the right person. • Reliability, strong work ethic, and pride in a clean, organized workspace. • Ability to: stand/walk for 8+ hours; bend, reach, push/pull; frequently lift up to 40 lbs. • Basic English for safety/labels; bilingual a plus. • ServSafe Food Handler or ability to obtain within 60 days (company-supported).
