Greetings! My name is Jen, and I'm looking for a new roommate for a 2BR apt in Crown Heights for November 1st. ABOUT THE APT: Honestly, this place is a STEAL. Pre war building with slight renovations, including an in-unit washer/dryer. The available room is HUGE. Dimensions are 12x20 with 3 windows, access to the fire escape facing the courtyard, and a closet. $1300/month for the room + utilities and internet (between $100-$200/month depending on time of year) + security deposit. Ideally you would sign a year lease, but we could also potentially work out a sublet with a roommate agreement if necessary. *NOTE: Attached photos of the available room are from original listing. Current roommate is still occupying the room, so it's still fully furnished at the moment. Located on St. Marks Ave between Nostrand Ave and New York Ave, we are positioned between the Nostrand A/C on Fulton St (10 min walk) and the Nostrand 3 train on Eastern Parkway (10 min walk). You could also walk 15 mins to Franklin Ave 2/3/4/5. We're about a 30 minute walk to Prospect Park, but if you're not feeling up to a large park, you can walk a few blocks to the neighborhood Brower Park. About ME: In my late 30s, originally from South Florida and have lived in New York for 14 years. I am a compassionate filmmaker (currently working in branded content since our industry is suffering). I love people, animals, nature, social justice, movies, music, open and clear communication and deep conversations. I rescue birds, bugs, and sometimes humans. I'm extremely easy going when it comes to living arrangements and can be social but also give you your space. I crave a home that feels safe, comfortable, positive and welcoming for myself, my cat, my roommate and anyone who steps into this apartment. About YOU: Ideally also in your mid-late 30s or older, financially secure and stable with a steady income (freelancers are welcome as long as you can pay rent on time), anti-zionist, a clear communicator, clean and helps keep the common areas clean, is empathetic, and LOVES animals.
