This position involves thorough inspections throughout various stages of the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with both internal and external quality control standards. Inspectors will collaborate closely with production teams, addressing quality issues as they arise and providing guidance on best practices to ensure compliance with specifications. Hours of this position are Monday - Friday, 6:30am – 3:00pm. Any OT would be on Friday. What You Will Do: Conduct in-process inspections of components and assemblies during manufacturing. Perform final inspections on completed buses prior to delivery to ensure adherence to customer specifications. Document all inspection results, quality issues, and corrective actions in a clear and timely manner. Engage in root cause analysis for defects and collaborate with teams to implement effective solutions. Support the Quality Assurance team in compliance with ISO 9001 standards. Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of quality assurance processes and products. Must be able to work 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM - Monday - Thursday Requirements Education and Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality assurance role preferably in manufacturing. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Familiarity with quality control standards and methodologies. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Capacity to work independently as well as in a team environment. Flexibility to work on both shifts as required. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software. Experience with Oracle database systems is an asset. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with and perform troubleshooting on electrical and Ethernet cabling using common tools Create wiring harnesses/assemblies from engineering drawings Assemble and maintain new test racks and mini racks Load software and configuration onto test racks and mini racks Troubleshoot test rack and mini rack issues including physical connections, miswiring, software load issues and software configuration issues Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of lab hardware and assets Perform other job-related duties as assigned Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required 6+ years of experience as an engineering lab technician, assemble/repair line tech or related professional experience 2+ years of experience building cables and/or other electromechanical assemblies Working knowledge of electronic and electromechanical components Skilled in use of lab instruments (multimeter, etc.) Knowledge of software operating systems, such as Windows and Linux Benefits The starting pay range for this position is $28.00/hr to $33.00/hr, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location. Description: The Composites Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying composite parts, materials, and assemblies to ensure they meet quality and engineering standards. This role involves detailed visual and dimensional inspections, the use of precision measurement tools, and accurate documentation of findings. The inspector works closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify non-conformances and support continuous improvement initiatives. Salary Range: $25 - $32 Duties and Responsibilities: Perform in-process and final inspections of composite parts, subassemblies, and finished products. Inspect for defects such as delamination, fiber misalignment, voids, surface irregularities, and bonding issues. Use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, laser trackers) to verify part dimensions and tolerances. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications, including GD&T requirements. Verify compliance with manufacturing process specifications, work instructions, and quality standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001). Document inspection results and non-conformances using appropriate forms, databases, or quality systems (e.g., NCRs, inspection reports). Perform destructive and non-destructive testing (NDT) such as visual, ultrasonic (UT), or tap testing when qualified. Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to resolve quality issues and recommend corrective actions. Support first article inspections (FAI), production part approvals (PPAP), and internal/external audits. Requirements Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. 2+ years of experience in quality inspection, preferably with composite materials. Knowledge of composite fabrication methods (e.g., hand lay-up, RTM, autoclave, resin infusion) is a strong advantage. Familiarity with aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9102, NADCAP, ISO). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Experience with inspection tools, documentation, and ERP or QMS systems. Detail-oriented, with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Skills Preferred Work may involve standing for extended periods, working in cleanrooms or production environments. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. May require flexible hours, including shift work or occasional overtime.
